The tree portion was made using the Sapling plug-in for Blender... after spending way too much time modeling one! Originally intended to dominate the scene, I wanted to model it from scratch.
I have become fascinated with modeling late 1800's/early 1900's architecture and props. This gave me a chance to try my hand at that, and to experiment with Blender's smoke and fire sim.
This was a quick afterthought for the full scene. I needed something to fill out the right side of the shot.
These curtains were the catalyst that took me from making a Christmas tree scene to a full on living room. They were kind of a doodle I ended up needing a scene for since I liked them so much.
The result of my last month of early morning hours. This is my second attempt at an interior scene. I wanted to make something for Christmas that portrayed a sort of traditional romantic look. I hope you like it. Merry Christmas!
