Hobbit Hole
Hobbit Hole

“In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.”

― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Hobbit, or There and Back Again

This comes on the heals of a project of a similar style that I had not attempted before. I thought the look of the Watch Tower image (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/3d4LdB) would lend itself well to a Hobbit scene. The terrain, the tree, and a few of the other specialized assets like the door and chimneys were all modeled/sculpted in Blender. The rest of the assets are from Megascans and Blendswap. Everything was rendered with Cycles on a 1080 ti at 512 samples in about a half an hour. I hope you like it!
