I have tried to convey the idea that the viewer is seeing a spacecraft from some maintenance section. The ship has engaged an enemy force and was boarded. The defending force has been unable to repel the foe, and has made a fighting withdraw out from the door on the left and back the corridor, around the corner at the furthest point from the camera, failing to close the hatch behind them. The displays in the ceiling show a history of the ship's status through the engagement.
