This was my first attempt at matching a photo in Blender 3D. I am no pro at archviz and am not entirely happy with this result, but I thought I'd share it anyway. I used fspy to align the photo and imported the resulting reference and camera rig into Blender. All of the assets were modeled by myself in Blender. Materials are a mix of PBR maps and procedural. This scene did help me to develop a better stainless steel material than I had been using. I learned quite a bit about lighting, which lead to a better result in my second photo matching attempt found here https://www.artstation.com/artwork/N5WnwN . Feel free to leave meaningful pointers for improvement. You can find a bunch of progress shots of this project on my Instagram feed too. https://www.instagram.com/artofkarlb/
A special thank you to Shaun & Jessi Kauffman for use of the photo. This is a house that they flipped. You can find more of their work on their Instagram feed. https://www.instagram.com/skj.co/
