Foyer Seating

This chair is modeled after one that sits in my own foyer. I have always wanted to create it in 3D and was the inspiration for the scenes I have placed it in.

Again, a furniture piece modeled after one of my own. It was the first in a series of similarly styled tables. All ow which can be found in my asset store and Artstation shop. https://artofkarlb.com/store

The phone was modeled just for this scene while I was still formulating what this little nook would look like. It's a simple candlestick phone, made before a time when a caller could simply dial a number for himself.

This shot shows off the detail of the brass lamp without it's shade down to the pull chains. The light bulbs are from my antique light bulbs set found in my asset store and Artstation shop. https://artofkarlb.com/store

Check out that nice wavy leaded stained glass. Also in my asset store and Arstation shop. https://artofkarlb.com/store

The shade's material even works correctly in Cycles when lit from within. No replacement emission shaders required!

Foyer Seating

This scene is shot from within my Foyer scene (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/zA83A4). I liked the lighting and this was really the focal point of that scene. I felt that it was a real loss not to see the level of detail in the props and the rest of the environment. Now we can! I wanted to convey a cozy sort of spot in this larger room where someone, perhaps a guest could take a phone call away from the parlor or dining room.

All of the scene and props that make it up were modeled in Blender, while the materials are a combination of Gimp, open source PBR maps, and Blender's own nodes.

As always, daily progress of current personal works can be followed on Facebook and Instagram.
