I said I was working on an upcoming tutorial, right? Well...it's here! This was a lot of fun to make. Any sword and anything Lord of the Rings related is always a ton of fun! This one is a little lengthy, but so worth it. We cover everything from basic hard surface modeling to material creation and rendering Glamdring, Gandalf's sword. It's here! A new Blender tutorial!

In this tutorial I'll guide you through the creation process of a sci-fi power cell like those found in many games. This tutorial is a bit lengthy and is geared toward a beginner, but there is information here for everybody. We'll cover everything from cube to render. So strap in, load up Blender, and let's get going! Watch on YouTube for the table of contents and chapter breaks.

What are UVs, and how do you create them? Do you even need to? We take a look at this subject while unwrapping our mirror and sink. The we'll create some PBR materials for them.
